Help us protect our cats and end their suffering!
As reported in the local news, the Besaro Mobile Home Park has an overwhelming number of feral cats that need to be fixed. There may be up to 100 cats there, with many pregnant cats about to have more kittens. This has been incredibly stressful for residents who have struggled to care for these cats and have watched litter after litter of kittens struggling. They have not received enough support to get the adults spayed and neutered.
Only a limited number of free appointments are available through the Tri-City Shelter and the cost of fixing a cat through a non-profit is $60+ per cat. Funds raised through this effort will go to fixing all the adult cats and fostering kittens and friendly cats. OHS will trap, neuter/spay, and release (TNR). This is a big job! In addition to contributing money, please reach out if you are interested in fostering. And remember, if you are feeding a cat, you should be fixing a cat. Part of caring for feral cats is educating yourself about cat overpopulation and TNR.
