Please join Ohlone Humane Society (OHS) in supporting the efforts of Newark residents to control the stray/feral cat community. Jeri and her neighbor live next to The Lake, where there are many community cats living. About a year and a half ago, a kitty or two showed up in their yard. Jeri wasn’t sure if they belonged to a neighbor or possibly strays. The cats ended up getting pregnant, and the kitties started multiplying. Jeri and her neighbor tried reaching out to numerous agencies, but they were all busy helping others in the community.
OHS, however, was able to get a few appointments and got maybe 10 to 12 cats fixed. Now, there are over 20+ cats roaming in their backyard and the area around The Lake.
Please help us get ALL the cats fixed. Our goal is to reach $1200. All donations are tax-deductible and will go straight to Ohlone Humane Society, which in turn will be used directly for this project.
Thank you for helping to keep the stray/feral cat population under control and allowing these cats to live a better life.
